Melissa Etheridge plans to bundle girlfriend Tammy Lynn Michaels down the aisle before California’s vote on Proposition 8 next month, the result of which could reverse the ruling which gives same-sex couples the right to marry in the State.

Etheridge, speaking about plans to marry in an interview on “Extra”, said: ” Yes, we have four children and we’re trying to find the right time.” What?

Etheridge was one of the first out and proud celebrities- coming out back in 1993. She’s been active on the gay rights scene since. Tammy and Melissa had a commitment ceremony in 2003 so it’s surprising the haven’t gone the whole hog sooner!
