The video for Pink’s new single, Sober, has been released. In the ultimate display of egotism, Pink gets up close and personal with…herself! It’s a pretty convincing make out scene.
The video is pretty funky and features Pink a few different costumes- my fave is the white ‘bob’ wig, cuffs and lacy “nipple peaking” top.
Check it out- after watching it a few times in a row, I’m going for a cold shower!

I’m sitting at my desk, savouring every drop of my large Americano, feeling myself wake up that little bit more with each gulp! As I browsed the morning papers and had a quick scout online, I came across this nifty site.
It features a calculator which allows you to “pick your poison” and select from a wide range of drinks (from Pepsi to Green Tea) and by entering your weight, calculate how much you can drink before it starts coming out your nose and you ‘pop your clogs’!
Suffice it to say that it would take over fifty cups of my wonderful, life breathing, Grande Americano to kill me. That much coffee would be equal a REALLY bad day at work so I think I’m pretty safe!

The Irish Independent reported yesterday that gay, lesbian and bisexual patients may be receiving substandard medical care from their doctors. To assist general practitioners (GP’s), the first book of guidelines for doctors on the care of gay patients has been published.
Research behind the book reveals that many people are still wary of revealing their sexuality to their GP- thus the need for the GP to encourage the disclosure of this information, appearing approachable and understanding.
It’s not surprising, particularly in Ireland where gay rights are so far behind the rest of the developed world, that people remain secretive. No doubt the situation is aggrevated in smaller practices, with a doctor who treats both you and the rest of your family. Hopefully this move will make more people comfortable with their doctor. Afterall, you’re paying him/her 50 quid…you may as well get your money’s worth!!

Today’s Evening Herald newspaper has also picked up on Martina Navratilova’s “I’m a Celebrity Get me out of Here” comments. It’s great that her appearing on the show rekindles discussion around homosexuality- just in case the Government has forgotten it’s a topic people care about.
The article was an interesting one, highlighting that “gay women face a different kind of prejudice to gay men, and in many ways they are trailing 20 years behind”. It goes on to outline the difficulties Navratilova faced when she came out, which included being portrayed as a “muscled dyke” and “losing her lucrative sponsorship deals”.
The journalist also picks up on how people have a different way of talking to gay men than they do to lesbians: “You can see on the TV show how much more comfortable we are with gay men than lesbians. The contestants have a vocabulary to talk affectionately about sexuality to the gay men there. But when it comes to Martina’s lesbianism they are silent, or bemused”.
